Hi, I’m D.R. White — thanks for stopping by!

I was born and raised in the Midwest, where life moved at a slower pace and everyone knew your name (and probably your business, too). That small-town charm stuck with me, and now it finds its way into my writing. At 62, I’m thrilled to be embarking on a brand-new adventure—becoming an author!

I’m married with four wonderful children and one grandchild, two energetic dogs, and one very opinionated cat who believes she’s the real boss of the house. Family life has always been the heart of my world, and I bring that same sense of connection, humor, and warmth into my stories.

My books are cozy mysteries, filled with small-town settings, a dash of intrigue, and characters who feel like old friends. My debut series, A Cliffside Haven Cozy Mystery, is especially close to my heart. It combines my love for charming small towns, puzzling whodunits, and the kind of community where everyone has a story (and a secret).

When I’m not writing, you’ll likely find me enjoying time with my family, working on my 1.5-acre property with my husband, brainstorming new mysteries, or planning trips.
